A shop is a private data space
Each PrestaShop store corresponds to one shop in PrestaKick. Products, customers, conversations, settings and reports are kept separate between shops.
One account can join many shops. Please check the currently selected shop before changing configuration or viewing data.
Member roles
PrestaKick has four roles:
| Role | Main rights |
|---|---|
| Viewer | View authorized information, do not change configuration |
| Staff | Perform operational tasks such as data viewing and chat support |
| Manager | Manage members and AI settings, and perform advanced operational tasks |
| Owner | Full access, including billing, access control and ownership transfer |
A shop has only one owner. A manager cannot change or remove the owner. See the detailed permissions under .
Visitors and customers
- A Visitor is a website visitor who may not be signed in.
- A Customer is a customer record synchronized from PrestaShop.
A conversation may start with a visitor and later be linked to a customer when the system has enough information.
Connected and operating status
Connected indicates that the module has valid connection information.
The Healthy, Degraded, Offline and Unknown statuses indicate whether PrestaKick has received a recent activity signal and whether the synchronization queue is being processed.
The module may therefore remain Connected while showing Offline if cron stops running or the server loses its Internet connection.
Synchronize data
The module records changes from PrestaShop and sends them to PrestaKick. The dashboard may also require resynchronization of each type of data.
Pricing, inventory, and product content are still managed in PrestaShop. The corresponding items on the Dashboard are mainly used to view synchronized data and manage AI-specific information.
Product data and AI
PrestaKick creates data representations called embeddings to support semantic search, image search and product recommendations. This process usually runs automatically after synchronization.
Before answering, the assistant searches the shop's data for relevant products and content. More complete product descriptions and policy pages generally produce more useful answers.
Service packages and AI credits
Each new shop starts on the Free plan. Plans set limits for shops, members, products and feature usage.
AI credits measure AI usage. When a quota or credit balance is exhausted, some features may pause until the next period, until more credits are purchased or until the plan is upgraded.
Access control
The owner manages the domains allowed to run the Widget and the IP addresses allowed to call the API under Settings → Domains & Access.
