The Widget is the chat panel shown to customers on your website. Configure it in the PrestaKick module for PrestaShop.
Display the Widget
Open Widget → Behavior Settings.
- Show Widget: display the Widget to customers.
- Preview IPs: allow selected IPs to view the Widget when Show Widget is off.
- Show Chat History: allow signed-in customers to review their history under My Account.
- Auto Open: automatically open the Widget after the configured delay.
- Show on Mobile: display the Widget on mobile devices.
To try before going public:
- Keep Show Widget turned off.
- Select Get my IP and add the current IP to the Preview IPs.
- Select Save configuration.
- Open the website and check the Widget.
Customize the look and feel
The main configuration groups include:
- Header Settings: the title and color of the Widget header.
- Button Settings: chat button icons, colors, and sizes.
- Widget Settings: position, background color, width, and height.
- Content Settings: greetings, suggestions in input boxes, and message colors.
- Working Hours: business hours, time zones, and out-of-hours notifications.
You can also turn on Allow image uploads so customers can send images. This feature requires the Starter plan or higher.
After editing, select Save configuration and then reload the website to check.
Domain names allowed
The Widget only works on domains listed under Allowed storefront domains.
The owner can check the list under Dashboard → Settings → Domains & Access. If your website uses both example.com and www.example.com, add each domain you need.
The message Widget origin is not allowed for this shop means the current domain has not been allowed.
Widget Key
The Widget uses the Widget Key for customer-facing functions. This key does not grant access to the Dashboard.
If you replace the Widget Key, the old key stops working. Once replaced, update the relevant configuration and try the Widget again.
Do not publish Module Secrets, Store API Keys, or Dashboard credentials in the Widget embed code.
Message limits and AI credits
If a customer sends messages too quickly, the Widget asks them to wait before trying again. This limit protects the service and the shop's usage allowance.
When a quota or AI credits are exhausted, AI features may pause. Check Billing & subscription on the Dashboard to see usage.
Check before going public
