Roles
| Role | Main permissions |
|---|---|
| Viewer | View permitted sections without changing settings |
| Staff | Support chat and perform day-to-day operational tasks |
| Manager | Manage members, configure AI, run catalog tasks, and view activity logs |
| Owner | Manage payments, access rules, danger zones, and transfer of ownership |
Permissions are tiered. Higher roles have the permissions of lower roles. A shop has only one owner and the manager cannot change the owner.
Some principles when granting permissions:
- Grant Staff to people who handle chat or operational support.
- Grant Manager to people who manage settings and members.
- Keep the Owner only for the person with the highest responsibility for the store and payments.
- Each person should use a separate account. Do not share the owner account.
Membership status
- Active: currently has access to the shop.
- Invited: has been invited but has not accepted yet.
- Suspended: temporarily cannot access the shop.
- Removed: is no longer a member of the shop.
The suspension or removal of a member only affects the current shop.
Invite members
- Select Invite member.
- Enter the correct email address.
- Choose the right role.
- Send or copy the invitation link as per the on-screen option.
If the invitee doesn't have an account yet, they need to sign up with the same email they received the invitation from.
If the invitation has expired or hasn't been received, open the member's action menu and use Resend invite or Resend & copy link.
It is not possible to directly invite a person to the owner role. Invite them with the appropriate role, then use the ownership transfer function if needed.
Change roles or statuses
Open Open member actions at the member's line to:
- Change roles.
- Select Suspend to suspend access.
- Reinstate a suspended user.
- Select Remove to remove from the shop.
A manager can manage members other than the owner. Before removing a member or lowering their role, check whether they are responsible for chat, synchronization or important settings.
Transfer of ownership
Only the current owner can transfer ownership. The recipient must be an active member of the shop.
This process requires re-authentication. After a successful transfer, the recipient becomes the owner and the former owner becomes the manager.
Confirm that you selected the correct recipient. The new owner will receive billing access and the highest level of permissions in the shop.
When there are insufficient permissions
The message Team access denied means the current account cannot manage members or is no longer an active shop member.
Check the selected shop and ask an appropriate owner or manager to handle the action.
